Marianne Konikoff Salutatorian of the SJA Class of 2014
5/20/2014Congratulations to Marianne Konikoff, 2010 Our Lady of Mercy graduate selected as the Salutatorian of the St. Joseph's Academy Class of 2014.
Following the Baccalaureate Mass, salutatorian Marianne Konikoff reflected on the maturation of the senior class and how the Academy’s motto of Sanctity, Joy and Action influenced the graduates’ experiences and their growth as young women.
“From beginning to end, Sanctity, Joy and Action shaped our time here and brought us memories that have changed us forever,” she said. “… SJA has transformed us from nervous freshmen to the strong young women that are here today. In the words of Joan of Arc, ‘I’m not afraid. I was born to do this.’ Class of 2014, it has been an honor spending the last four years with you, and it is time for us to take on the future with courage, faith and joy.”
Congratulations to Marianne on an outstanding high school career and best wishes for her journey to New Haven, Connecticut to attend Yale University in fall 2014.
